Buffalo International VP to Speak at Computer Telephony Expo

Valhalla, NY, 22 February 1999 - Buffalo International, Inc. knows about open telephony servers. That is what makes its product so unique. Buffalo International’s award winning Object Telephony Server (OTS NT™) preceded by Open Architecture Predictive Dialing Engine (OAPDE) is a open telephony platform that integrates with new or legacy call center applications. Hear Buffalo’s David Friedman moderate an educational session on this technology at CT Expo Spring 99, Wednesday March 3 from 12:30.

Mr. Friedman and three experts will recount experiences implementing this technology in a variety of telecom and IS environments. See why call centers are supplementing/migrating from conventional switches supplied by vendors like Nortel and Lucent through the use of modular PC based technology.

"With the current version [of OTS NT™], not only is switching handled to the tune of about 500 ports per chassis, but all your traditional value add is included" explained Friedman, "This eliminates 3 to 6 separate and costly telecommunications systems in the typical call center."

Software vendors have been developing turnkey solutions based on the platform since the release of OAPDE. They typically build or modify customer contact management or call flow scripting applications to work with Buffalo’s systems for Predictive Dialing, Automatic Call Distribution, Voice Processing (for messaging, voice response or digital recording), Intelligent Call Routing, agent Monitoring/ Coaching and the Blending of these functions during a call.

Buffalo will formally announce support for Dialogic Corp.’s CT Media by its Open Predictive Dialing module. CT Media is an open, standards based platform supporting multiple separate telephony application modules on one PC based telephony server to be sold through major computer vendors such as Compaq and HP. This development will allow all new and existing client applications that run with Buffalo’s NT based predictive dialing to work with a CT Media server.

Founded in 1989, Buffalo International, Inc. develops telephony sever software for call centers. Its system supports a unique open interface for linkage with third party applications. OTS NT™ includes all the functionality of the original OAPDE in addition to Automatic Call Distribution, Voice Processing, Intelligent Call Routing, Monitoring, Coaching and Recording and supports telephony hardware manufactured by Dialogic, Corp.
