Digisoft, Artisoft and Calltrol Announce a New Single Server Solution

January 7, 2004 (New York, NY and Cambridge, MA) Digisoft Computers, Inc., developers of Telescript(TM), a leading contact center management software application and ArtisoftÆ, Inc., (OTC: ASFT), developer of the first software-based phone system and CalltrolÆ Corporation developer of Convergence FriendlyÆ telephony for contact centers, today announced the availability of a single platform, integrated Predictive Dialer and software-based phone switch solution.

Integrating the award-winning Telescript 5.5(TM) and TeleVantageÆ 5.0, with Calltrol's Object Telephony Server(TM) with Convergence FriendlyÆ Architecture provides an exceptional platform for service bureaus, collection and other financial call centers, service desks, help desks and remote technicians. This strategic relationship, formed under Artisoft's Open Communication Alliance, enables all three partners to promote the solution through their respective distribution channels.

"Developing new, integrated products designed to increase productivity is vital to our clients," remarked Robert Garber, Executive Vice President of Digisoft. "In our Call Center Server solution we have created a solution virtually any call center can utilize."

The joint predictive dialing solution enables Artisoft customers to utilize their existing hardware and software components in their current TeleVantage systems. The Call Center Server solution transforms the PBX into a complete call center application, able to handle inbound, outbound predictive dialing or a blended environment. Clients are capable of systematically managing all phone interactions through a single console with a full suite of integrated functions.

"We are excited to have a single board solution with a market leader like Digisoft. Now, with the same hardware, customers can acquire a robust predictive dialing solution on their flexible, feature-rich TeleVantage phone system. It would be difficult to cost justify multiple boxes when Digisoft and Artisoft can solve most customer needs with a single server." noted Rob Black, Product Marketing Manager of Artisoft.

The predictive dialing software, supplied by Calltrol, controls the outbound dialing and answer detection through TeleVantage. Calltrol uses twenty separate factors during each calling decision to accurately predict both the answer rate and agent availability for each call. The implementation, compliant with state and federal regulations, enables you to fine tune calling for each campaign.

"Calltrol's continuous improvement is derived from the input of our users and experience of our developers and illustrates our commitment to the developer community and our existing client base," said David Friedman, Vice President of Marketing & Sales for Calltrol Corp. "We continue to improve our product to ensure our customers, resellers and solution providers are always on the cutting edge. Additionally, providing products that help our clients stay FTC-compliant while still maximizing productivity is important in today's regulatory and economic environment".

Buffalo International's VP to Speak at Call Center Demo
Integration to Maximize Center's Productivity

1 May 2000, Valhalla, NY-Buffalo International, creator of the award winning Object Telephony Server (OTS™) and the world’s first and only Open Architecture Predictive Dialing Engine (OAPDE™) will be exhibiting at Call Center Demo and Conference at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.  David Friedman, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, will be participating in the conference track, The New Call Center Fundamentals.  He will be speaking about Integrating Inbound and Outbound Solutions on Friday 5 May 2000 from 10:30-11:45 am.

OTS makes integrating inbound and outbound contact centers easy and efficient.  OTS is designed to make the integration of both outbound telephony functions such as predictive dialing and inbound features such as Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) and Interactive Voice Response (IVR)/Voice Processing simple.  Traditional call centers have separate boxes for inbound and outbound call functions as well as things like observation, recording and voice processing.  With the technological advances of OTS, contact centers can replace their disparate boxes with one or more PC based servers from Buffalo International, Inc.  Agents log on and can switch between inbound and outbound campaigns to maximize their productivity and make their jobs more interesting.

“When we talk about blending it is functional blending, not just mixing inbound and outbound;” said David Friedman, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Buffalo International, Inc.  “Our customers can combine conferencing, recording and IVR in real-time over IP or hard circuits on any inbound or outbound call;” continued Friedman.

Since 1989, Buffalo International has provided tools and systems to telephony enable eBusiness and CRM applications.  Primarily used in Telesales, Market Research, Customer Service and Support contact centers, OTS™ seamlessly integrates with client applications under any operating system.  Productivity enhancement up to 400% is common.

Object Telephony Server Garners Two New Awards

17 January 2000, Valhalla, NY-Buffalo International, Inc. creator of the world's first open telephony server for contact centers announced today that Object Telephony Server (OTS-NT(tm)) was selected as the Product of the Year Award by Communications Solutions Magazine (formerly CTI Magazine) and Call Center CRM Solutions. This is the second year in a row that both magazines recognized the technical innovations OTS-NT(tm) embodies.

"It is a tremendous honor to win Product of the Year two years in a row;" said Scott Lerner, Business Development Manager, Buffalo International, Inc. "We realize the importance of constant improvement of our already extensive feature set. This gives us the ability to grow with existing customers, attract sales opportunities and expand to new markets;" continued Mr. Lerner.

The OTS-NT(tm) developer's kit saw great improvements this year. For the first time, on platforms other that Win 32, Java developers, are able to easily integrate applications with OTS-NT(tm) through JavaBeans. This advancement will propel the development of distributed and/or virtual call centers, where agents can make or take calls from anywhere. The variety of sample OTS-NT(tm) clients, with Visual Basic source code also broadened.

Since 1989, Buffalo International has provided tools and systems to telephony enable eBusiness and CRM applications. Primarily used in Telesales, Market Research, Customer Service and Support contact centers, OTS-NT(tm) seamlessly integrates with client applications under any operating system. Productivity enhancement up to 400% is common.

It runs on standard PC hardware and supports industry standard media processing/telephony components including Dialogic/Intel, Audiocodes, and Real-Time Systems. Buffalo International Introduces JavaBeans for Developers

November 1999, Valhalla, NY-Buffalo International, Inc. creator of the world’s first Open Architecture Predictive Dialing Engine (OAPDE™) and the award winning Object Telephony Server (OTS-NT™), announces the availability of JavaBeans as part of their Software Developer’s Kit (SDK). Developers can now easily develop Java client applications for OTS-NT™.

Previously Buffalo International’s API could only be accessed directly through TCP/IP or from Windows applications using COM/ActiveX controls. Although the OCX made Windows development speedy, Java developers did not benefit. Java can run on many different types of computer and operating systems. With Java support, an entire new world of opportunities for building telephony enabled contact center applications has opened.

"Java is widely used for the Internet and Internet applications. What this means is that if a client/agent application is written in Java, it could be sitting virtually anywhere and accessing OTS-NT™ through the Internet and getting real time screen pops along with phone calls;" explains Wai Wu, Vice President of Technology, Buffalo International, Inc.

Using JavaBeans enable Internet applications to access OTS-NT™. Agents will take inbound calls and make predictive calls from various locations, even home, more easily than they can today. JavaBeans and Java applications do not require agents to work from the same physical location as the telephony server. This is an incredible advantage especially for implementing distributed contact centers.

Founded in 1989, Buffalo International, Inc. develops telephony sever software for call centers. Its systems support a unique open interface for linkage with third party applications. OTS-NT™ includes all the functionality of the original Open Architecture Predictive Dialing Engine in addition to Automatic Call Distribution, Voice Processing, Intelligent Call Routing, Monitoring, Coaching, Recording and IP Telephony and primarily supports industry standard telephony hardware manufactured by companies such as Dialogic Corp., an Intel Company (NASDAQ: INTC) and Audiocodes, LTD. Hear Buffalo’s David Friedman moderate an educational session on this technology at CT Expo Spring 99, Wednesday March 3 from 12:30.

Mr. Friedman and three experts will recount experiences implementing this technology in a variety of telecom and IS environments. See why call centers are supplementing/migrating from conventional switches supplied by vendors like Nortel and Lucent through the use of modular PC based technology.

"With the current version [of OTS NT™], not only is switching handled to the tune of about 500 ports per chassis, but all your traditional value add is included" explained Friedman, "This eliminates 3 to 6 separate and costly telecommunications systems in the typical call center."

Software vendors have been developing turnkey solutions based on the platform since the release of OAPDE. They typically build or modify customer contact management or call flow scripting applications to work with Buffalo’s systems for Predictive Dialing, Automatic Call Distribution, Voice Processing (for messaging, voice response or digital recording), Intelligent Call Routing, agent Monitoring/ Coaching and the Blending of these functions during a call.

Buffalo will formally announce support for Dialogic Corp.’s CT Media by its Open Predictive Dialing module. CT Media is an open, standards based platform supporting multiple separate telephony application modules on one PC based telephony server to be sold through major computer vendors such as Compaq and HP. This development will allow all new and existing client applications that run with Buffalo’s NT based predictive dialing to work with a CT Media server.

Founded in 1989, Buffalo International, Inc. develops telephony sever software for call centers. Its system supports a unique open interface for linkage with third party applications. OTS NT™ includes all the functionality of the original OAPDE in addition to Automatic Call Distribution, Voice Processing, Intelligent Call Routing, Monitoring, Coaching and Recording and supports telephony hardware manufactured by Dialogic, Corp.

Buffalo International Call Center Engine Now Supports Euro-ISDN

Valhalla, NY, December 19, 1997 - Buffalo International, Inc. is proud to announce that OTS (Object Telephony Server) now supports Euro-ISDN. This advancement will allow the telephony platform to easily work in countries supporting this EC standard.

ISDN offers many benefits over traditional analog phone lines, and even though the European version is less feature rich then its North American counterpart, call centers will benefit from this new compatibility. Coupled with OTS, Buffalo’s Open Architecture telephony platform, European call centers just need to plug in their system to gain high performance, low cost outbound/inbound call center automation.

Unlike it’s North American counterpart (T1), E1 is usually provisioned as primary rate ISDN rather than E & M. So, supporting Euro-ISDN, a standardized configuration of the E1 being used throughout the European Economic Community, permits easy installation using SCSA compatible Dialogic boards.

OTS from Buffalo International is a high performance and very flexible telephony platform. Its PC based, and permits tight integration with the third party client/control applications of your choice via TCP/IP or NETBIOS for total customization.

Robust Inbound Features Added to the Buffalo Engine

Valhalla, NY, July 30 - OTS™ (Object Telephony Server), the latest release of Buffalo International's call center platform (The Buffalo Engine) offers both inbound call processing (ACD) and IVR, in addition to enhanced outbound dialing features. "To be able to house both the inbound and outbound in one PC is a major breakthrough for us," said Wai Wu, Buffalo's VP of Technology. "It's a big step towards our ultimate goal of providing a complete call center platform. Inbound/Outbound blending, IVR, Digital Logging, Transfer/Conference, Send/Receive Fax all in one box."

Not only that, but OTS™ is truly open by design. This unique architecture gives the Buffalo Engine the flexibility that was never thought possible with traditional dialers. Nothing about the system is proprietary. The PC based platform comes configured to order with state of the art Dialogic™ boards. It plugs right into your existing network, and there is no need to replace your data management software or agent workstations.

"Our long term goal is to provide a box that will empower the customer to do whatever they need to, rather than us doing everything for them," said David Friedman, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Buffalo. The Buffalo Engine (hardware & software) starts at about $1000-$1500 per seat.

Buffalo's Engineering Department Moves To Larger Facilities

Melville, NY January 3, 1997 - To keep up with demand for new products and features and stay ahead of its competition, Buffalo International's Engineering division has moved. They have just completed relocation to a much larger, state-of-the-art technical facility. "This will allow us to increase staff in both technical support, as well as research and development", said Wai Wu, VP of Technology, "it will also let us bring in a wider variety of equipment for compatibility testing".

This move comes only a few short months after Buffalo's headquarters relocated. It all but completes the corporate facelift that the company undertook in the middle of 1996. Changing its name, moving to new offices, and a brand new web site (including on-line support), are just some of the things that Buffalo is doing to gear up for what is expected to be a banner year in 1997. According to David Friedman, VP of Marketing & Sales "These changes were necessary to meet the needs of our growing and diverse customer base." "We've taken steps to insure that we continue to offer a superior value to all customers worldwide" continued Mr. Friedman.

Buffalo International, Inc. is the developer of the world's first truly Open Architecture line of products. Current products include Open Architecture Predictive Dialing Engine (OAPDE™), Object Telephony Server (OTS™) and Open Architecture Voice Logging Engine (OAVLE™). Currently in the works are Windows NT versions of the products, which will increase capacity for Dialogic™ boards which are the main hardware building blocks of the systems. The new OTS™ platform adds ACD and IVR functions (Fax is on the way) to the Buffalo Engine.

Buffalo International and VAR Drextec Receive Prestigious Award

Valhalla, NY Dec. 15, 1996 --- Call Center Magazine, one of the world's leading authorities on Call Center technology has announced that a total Call Center CTI/Automation solution based on OAPDE™ - Open Architecture Predictive Dialing Engine from Buffalo International, Inc. and DPTS™ - Drextec Prospecting and Telemarketing System from Drextec, Inc has been selected to receive it's Editor's Choice Award. The article can be found in the December 1996 issue of Call Center Magazine published monthly by Telecom Library, Inc. NY, NY (1-800-LIBRARY).

"The Editor's Choice is welcome recognition in an often clouded market", said David Friedman, Buffalo's VP of Marketing & Sales. "There is so much hype in the CTI arena, especially with things like open architecture and strategic partnerships, I'm glad that the leading experts are looking closely at what companies are actually putting together and getting out into the real world," continued Friedman. A critical
element to consider when selecting a technology vendor is what they have actually done before, and whether they have kept up with promised advances over time. Since the technology changes so rapidly, it's impossible to buy everything you need off the shelf today. Having a vendor, who has a track record and real references, provides some predictability as to what their future performance will be. When you invest in this type of technology today, you must be future conscious".

The Call Center article by Joe Fleischer highlighted the following points with respect to the Drextec/Buffalo solution. Robust campaign and list management and reporting features, support of multiple predictive dialers from one management console, variety of supported PC operating systems and cost.

Drextec, Inc of Marlton, NJ can be reached at 856-596-8285.
